UNICEF works around the world to ensure that every child can realize their rights – regardless of origin, religion, or background. In more than 190 countries, we strive to make sure children grow up healthy, have access to education, and are protected from violence. For over 75 years, UNICEF has stood for effectiveness, partnership, and lasting progress for children and their communities.
In Afghanistan, UNICEF has been active for decades, providing life-saving aid. Millions of children are suffering from extreme poverty, malnutrition, and the collapse of basic services. The situation has become even more dramatic since the devastating earthquake in September 2025, which directly affected more than 200,000 children. Many families have lost everything – lacking shelter, food, and medical care. With the harsh winter approaching, cold and hunger threaten even more lives.
UNICEF provides therapeutic food, clean drinking water, and essential healthcare, while helping children – including girls – continue their education.
By supporting UNICEF, you help children in Afghanistan survive, find hope, and rebuild their futures – because every child deserves a childhood.
